Junior School
We aim to provide our students, who are confident in their academic success and are developing socially, physically and psychologically, with a happy and engaging learning environment that is structured, collaborative and purposeful. We also encourage a positive and involved community of students and families. At HTAIS, Junior school includes Kindergarten to Grade 4.
Our student-focused approach to English, Math, Science and Social Studies is rigorous, yet fosters a lifelong passion for knowledge through engaging instruction and experiential learning. We strive for a positive learning environment that meets the needs of the international student.

HOME LEARNING
Home learning at the Elementary level is a requirement, with the goal of complementing or enhancing classroom learning. For English and Math, teachers assign regular activities and with the help of specially designed mobile app we monitor his/her improvement as a passionate student.
CHARACTER EDUCATION
“Knowledge will give you power, but character respect.” As dedicated champions of a holistic education that develops responsible global citizens, our junior level learning programme includes Character Education program to impart ethics, values and civic sense to our students. We believe that the ideal learning environment shapes boys and girls into responsible young adults.
CLASS STRUCTURE
On average, students from KG to Grade IV spend five of eight blocks of a given day with their teacher and teacher’s aide. The other two periods rotate between:
- Art
- Language
- Music
- Physical Education
- Technology
Classes start at 9:30 am and end at 3.30 pm. Classes last 45 minutes each, and two 15-minute recesses and a 40-minute lunch break are included. The online admission process starts by the end of September.
